- Total testing period was 63 days:
- 11 days with VDO Kienzle measuring unit installed on

- 45 days (13,367 km) to determine fuel consumption of
engines A & B.
- Fuel savings: 20% or 14,000 liters p/yr - per train.
- Additional Test bed tests done by railroad showing similar
savings plus reduction in gases.
